Kaya Mawa

Kaya Mawa lodge is an exclusive luxury resort located on the coastal front of Likoma Island in Lake Malawi, approximately 12 km from the Mozambique side of Lake Niassa.

The island, completely secluded with an array of mango trees and ancient baobabs and is encircled by glorious sandy beaches and rocky coves.  On the island are several opportunities to engage the locals in conversation, visit the cathedral and walk through the lively market nearby.

The waters around the lodge are both safe and clear.  Swimming and snorkelling are loved by many – some of the well known snorkelling areas on the island are right at the lodge’s shore where snorkels and masks are provided at the Lodge. Alternatively there is a rock pool alongside the bar to swim in.

General facilities include a dinning room, a bar, swimming pool and a sundeck
